Paul Thompson is one of Toronto’s most respected young crowd killers. The kind of comic who hits the stage like a double-barrel shotgun blast. Riffing and ripping – making razor-sharp turns back and forth between solid material, and raw unfiltered crowd work. Thompson works and lives in the moment, and he can have an entire crowd eating out of his palm just by shooting the shit with the loudest table in the room. Shutting them up, and splitting their sides with knife-point precision. Kid doesn’t pull any punches either. Why should he?
Che Durena is a British Columbia native who moved to Toronto to chase his dream of being a stand up comic. Since then he’s been hustling the GTA comedy scene on his way to becoming one of the city’s brightest young up and comers. Che was the runner-up in Sirius XM’S Canada’s Top Comic competition and has performed at JFL42 in Toronto and JFL Montreal in 2017.
The son of Portuguese immigrants, he has turned his memories of growing up Portuguese in Toronto into one of the most popular comedy acts in the predominantly immigrant city, and across the Portuguese diaspora. He has performed at festivals and on TV/Radio across the country with appearances on MTV, Much Music, CBC Radio, SiriusXM, Just For Laughs in Montreal, and JFL42 in Toronto.
